The majority of medical aid schemes fully cover the cost of hospital expenses. The cost of the implant device is covered to different degrees depending on the medical schemes’ rules and benefits. In the event that the device is not fully paid for by the medical aid, the outstanding amount must be paid for by the patient.

A small number of patients per year may be assisted through Tygerberg Hospital.
Fundraising
Fundraising can be done by the patient and their families through the Stellenbosch University HOPE Foundation. Necessary documentation will be provided by your audiologist.
